The Lions take the lead within two minutes (kiyanu 0-1). A high tempo start gives no respite despite decisions going against City. Courage comes on and soon has the ball in the back of the net (0-2). Ten minutes later and with the sun making its first appearance, Kiyanu scores his second goal of the match (0-3). Half time comes as a welcome relief for our hosts.
Second half starts off at pace as well but not quite like the first half. Ten minutes and Freiburg get a free kick on the edge of the box - great save from Tom. End to end stuff with City looking much the more threatening.
Josh steps up to take a City free kick and scores (0-4). Against the run of play, City concede a goal (1-4). But the game is now one way traffic as City pile on the pressure. Penalty as Kiyanu is brought down. He calmly steps up for his hatrick (1-5).
Final score 1-5.
